Job Summary/Basic Functions

As a College Enrollment Counselor, you will be crucial in attracting talented students to Eastern Kentucky University and representing the unique offerings of specific colleges. Leveraging technology, relationship-building skills, and your deep knowledge of the college you represent, you will engage with prospective students, families, and high schools to foster strong affinity and excitement about our academic programs. Your passion for higher education and expertise in using technology like Slate CRM will ensure each student's personalized and seamless admissions experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Two years of related work experience in higher education required.
Recruiting experience and social media (Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok) marketing experience desired.

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Utilize Slate CRM to manage and track the recruitment process efficiently. Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities to enhance recruitment strategies. Utilize various digital platforms to connect with prospective students, showcase the college's academic programs, and facilitate seamless communication throughout the admissions journey. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of all interactions in the CRM system. - (Essential)
  • 30% - Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, families, and high schools, emphasizing the unique value of the college you represent. Assist the Dual Credit team in developing college-specific pathways and recruitment practices within those pathway programs. Host engaging virtual and in-person events, including college-specific information sessions and workshops, to showcase academic programs and foster excitement among prospective students. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and current students within the college to create personalized and compelling recruitment messages. Tailor counseling sessions to address individual academic and career aspirations, ensuring a solid fit between the student and the college. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, families, and high schools, offering guidance and support throughout admissions. Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with prospective students, understanding their interests and academic goals to provide meaningful insights about the college. Assist in the development of college-specific orientation programming. Collaborate with academic advisors to address program-specific questions and facilitate a smooth transition from admissions to academic advising. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Act as a passionate ambassador for the college and the university as a whole, articulating the college's mission, values, and academic excellence. Represent the college at college fairs, recruitment events, and high school visits, showcasing its distinct programs and opportunities. Contribute to developing college-specific marketing materials, highlighting the college's unique strengths and advantages. Completing other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
