Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Assistant Director of Marketing reports directly to the Senior Associate AD External Operations and is responsible for the EKU athletics marketing objectives by coordinating and implementing fan engagement strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: One year of work related experience in intercollegiate athletics

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Implement and Execute Marketing Plans. Follow and hit deadlines within current marketing plan to allow Athletics the best opportunity to succeed and increase attendance numbers significantly - (Essential)
  • 25% - Email and Digital Strategy. Drive EKU Athletics' email efforts with weekly, monthly, event-based, or other types of emails to engage fans and alumni. Also, develop creative content when needed for marketing efforts through social media, grass-roots, email - (Essential)
  • 20% - Community Relationships and Group Sales. Responsible for creating and maintaining relationships within the community and turning that into revenue generation through group sales, group experiences, or season tickets - (Essential)
  • 10% - Game Day Operations Support. Support marketing efforts during the game day experience for all home sports - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties assigned - (Essential)
