Job Summary/Basic Functions

Provide high-level administrative administration and professional support services fall all activities of the program, direct executive assistance to program leaders, and oversee program needs. Services should include written communication, meeting and resource management, data management and analysis, scheduling, organization, conducting research, and coordination of activities across departments within EKU to ensure a positive employee experience and seamless service.

Conducts administrative work that requires detailed knowledge and familiarity with organizational policies, procedures, applicable laws, and program services available. Requires the ability to communicate and work in partnership with faulty , staff, and students. Work process is monitored by immediate supervisor. Incumbent typically follows precedents and procedures but may set priorities and organize work with general guidelines established by supervisor who is available to resolve problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Required

Experience: One year of progressively responsible clerical, secretarial, and/or administrative support is required.

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Manage the operational activities of the program; set priorities; establish and assign priorities; ensure schedules are maintained; make sure that all deadlines are met; develop processes and procedures for the program. - (Essential)
  • 30% - Communicate with internal and external customers and management to exchange information, resolve issues or concerns, and coordinate activities. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Analyze and summarize information, data, and reports. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Support the coordination and scheduling of events, functions, and other departmental activities. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supports office functions by completing all duties and special projects assigned. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Assist in implementing and monitoring the strategic plan for the department. - (Essential)
