Job Summary/Basic Functions

The EKU College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is accepting applications for a Student Laboratory Assistant in the Chemical Storage Facility for the Spring 2025 Session, January 21 through May 2, 2025, with the option to renew, depending on shift availability and funding. The position pays $12/hour. Must be eligible for EKU student employment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: tracking and documentation of chemicals checked out to faculty, preparation of some solutions for laboratories, log-in of chemical waste generated by science labs, and assist with laboratory inspections.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Applicants must have completed two semesters of first-year college chemistry with at least a grade of “C” or better.
