The Department of Engineering and Technology is located in the Ralph W. Whalin Technology Complex which includes approximately 100,000 square feet of classroom and laboratory space, including facilities for automation, 3D printing/prototyping, robotics, electronics, computer aided drafting (CAD), quality assurance and metrology, materials and metallic processes, construction estimating, fluid power, networking, cyber security and computer applications.

 

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Eastern Kentucky University Department of Engineering and Technology is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach undergraduate courses in our programs. The successful candidate will teach classes at the Richmond, KY campus to a maximum of 9 credit hours per semester, on an as-needed basis.

A Master's Degree is required in Engineering, Technology, or a related field, with at least 18 hours in the graduate level. Degree(s) must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited and recognized institution. Candidate is expected to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with undergraduate students and the university community.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: A Master's Degree is required in Engineering, Technology, or a related field, with at least 18 hours in the graduate level. Degree(s) must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited and recognized institution.

   

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
