Job Summary/Basic Functions

Adjunt EMC Professor. Must be endorsed by KBEMS as a paramedic and licensed to teach all levels of EMS courses that lead to licensure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • KBEMS Paramedic with highest level of EMS educator endorsement

Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualifications for faculty teaching undergraduate courses:
    Must hold doctoral/terminal (for EMC masters is terminal)
    OR masters in teaching discipline or related field
    OR master’s degree with a concentration in teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline)

Job Duties:

  • Plan and develop EMS licensure class lesson plans - (Essential)
  • Deliver all content based upon the National Education Standards for EMS - (Essential)
  • Evaluate the competency of students from an affective, cognitive and psychmotor perspective. - (Essential)
