Job Summary/Basic Functions

An EKU Apprentice Plumber performs basic plumbing maintenance tasks while assisting a craftsman and craft foreman in implementing and completing assigned work orders. This position is actively learning more advanced plumbing skills in an effort to achieve a Journeyman

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One year of established work.

Job Duties:

• 10% - Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University - (Essential)
• 30% - Performs basic plumbing and clean-up activities under the direction of a foreman and/or supervisor - (Essential)
• 50% - Provides assistance to senior staff members performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance of university buildings, mechanical and other systems as required and according to established procedures. Works in learning mode in effort to obtain Journeyman Plumbers License. - (Essential)
• 10% - Performs other duties as assigned - (Essential)
