Job Summary/Basic Functions
Student assistance needed for mounting, digitizing, sorting and preparing duplicates for exchange, processing exchanged specimens, and filing of herbarium specimens. Students will gain experience working with curated specimens and understand the processes necessary to maintain and expand such collections. Students are specifically selected based on their interest working in the botanical world or with natural history collections. Currently the herbarium is maintained by a single curator and one graduate student who works a few hours a week in the herbarium.
