Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Department of Engineering and Technology at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for Academic Year 2025-2026. Applicants should hold an earned Ph.D. in mechanical / manufacturing / industrial / mechatronics Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered but must have a Ph.D. (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. The position begins August 2025.
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: industrial and manufacturing processes, quality control and optimization, automation and robotics, mechatronics, materials science, engineering design, or solid/fluid mechanics. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a 4/4 annual teaching load, develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda, conduct academic advising, and participate in service to the department, university, and community. In addition, membership and participation in state, regional, national, or international professional organizations is recommended.
