Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Department of Social Work at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a Assistant Professor. Applicants must have an earned Master of Social Work from a CSWE-accredited institution at the time of appointment. The position begins in August 2025.
This position serves courses in the Social Work program. It requires at least five years post-MSW social work practice experience. The successful candidate will teach on-campus courses (with the possibility of on-line teaching) in the BSW and MSW programs in a full-time annual teaching load.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Earned Master of Social Work from a CSWE-accredited institution at the time of appointment.
Experience: Experience teaching at the university-level.
• Minimum of five years post-MSW social work practice experience.
• Knowledge of current practices in professional communication and social media
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Analytic and problems solving skills

• Ability to collaborate with peers and students
