Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Associate Director of College Enrollment Strategy will lead and mentor a team of 6 College Enrollment Counselors, focusing on recruiting exploratory and general studies students. This role is responsible for developing and executing data-informed recruitment strategies, managing key relationships, and representing Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) at various recruitment events. The Associate Director will be pivotal in promoting EKU’s academic offerings, maintaining the integrity of recruitment processes, and ensuring a high standard of outreach and engagement with prospective students.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Master's preferred.

Experience: Three years of related work experience is required.

Job Duties:

  • 40% - The Associate Director will provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to a team of six College Enrollment Counselors, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet recruitment goals. Serving as a key representative for Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) at college fairs, recruitment events, and high school visits, the Associate Director will actively promote EKU’s programs, mission, and values. Additionally, they will represent EKU at regional and national recruitment conferences, building partnerships and expanding the university’s recruitment network. A significant part of this role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance EKU’s presence at recruitment events, explicitly focusing on exploratory and general studies students. The Associate Director will also collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to create compelling recruitment messaging and outreach campaigns, ensuring consistency across all communications channels. - (Essential)
  • 30% - This role will oversee the use of Slate CRM to manage, track, and analyze recruitment activities for exploratory and general studies students. The Associate Director will use data and metrics to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, refining recruitment strategies to ensure optimal performance. Various digital platforms will be leveraged to connect with prospective students, highlight EKU’s academic programs, and ensure seamless communication throughout admissions. The Associate Director will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the CRM system for all student interactions, ensuring data integrity. - (Essential)
  • 20% - A key responsibility of this role is to build and maintain strong relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other educational institutions, focusing on recruiting exploratory and general studies students. The Associate Director will lead initiatives to create and refine college-specific pathways and recruitment practices, particularly for dual credit and early college programs. The role also includes hosting engaging virtual and in-person recruitment events, such as workshops, information sessions, and open houses, to inspire prospective students and showcase EKU’s academic opportunities. Additionally, the Associate Director will collaborate with faculty, staff, and current students to develop personalized recruitment messaging tailored to students' academic and career aspirations. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Works in cooperation and collaboration with other university departments and completes all other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
