Additional Schedule Details: The Training Resource Center (TRC) provides training and support for Kentucky's Department for Community Based Services. The funding for this position is from federal and/or state funds and is subject to annual renewal. This is a contract EKU position. The position may be considered for full time remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Job Summary/Basic Functions

This position will serve as the Associate Director, TRC Programs and will report to the TRC Executive Director. The position assists the TRC Executive Director in managing critical projects, departments and initiatives including, but not limited to: TRC eLearning, technology services and communication initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree required.

Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in higher education, human services programs, training, or similar fields. Experience in communications, program development, budgeting, supervision, virtual learning systems and related technology and project management preferred.

Job Duties:

  • 75% - Manages staff, programs, policies, procedures and resources for critical departments, e.g., eLearning, technology services and communication initiatives, within the TRC to ensure administrative and operational objectives are met. Assists with grant/contract processes including proposal development and submission (scope of work, deliverables, budgets) and coordination of internal grant/contract activities as required by EKU Sponsored Programs and the funding agency. Assists with budget projections for TRC projects, as needed. - ()
  • 15% - Interprets and ensures compliance with regulations, standards, policies and procedures set forth by the funding agency and university for successful contract operations. Secures necessary supportive documentation from appropriate program contacts, as needed. Provides guidance and support for multiple data collection initiatives including annual agency contract monitoring review/audits, TRC Annual Report, Level One evaluations, etc. Prepares reports and/or proposals, as needed. - ()
  • 10% - Builds and maintains relationships with state and federal agencies, as well as university personnel, including executing strategies for negotiation, when indicated. Attends meetings, conferences or events as required or requested by the TRC Executive Director, TRC leadership, or contract agency leadership. Delivers presentations of TRC operations upon request. Special Instructions: The Associate Director, TRC Programs provides leadership and support to ensure organizational operations meet the needs of funders and are in accordance with university, state, and federal requirements; builds and maintains partnerships and relationships; engages with internal and external stakeholders; develops protocols; and manages TRC staff. The position oversees critical operational areas such as technology services and eLearning, and communication.
