Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Department of Government at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for Academic Year 2025-2026. Applicants should hold an earned Ph.D. in Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. The position begins August 2025.
The position serves the Master's of Public Administration and the undergraduate political science program. It requires the ability to develop and teach fully online classes. Candidates should be, or have the potential to be, a high-quality teacher and an active scholar. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate classes, including courses related to public administration, non-profit organizations, and Introduction to American Government, in a 12-hour-per-semester teaching load. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda, conduct academic advising, and participate in service to the department, university, and community. In addition, membership and participation in state, regional, national, or international professional organizations is recommended. Applications will be reviewed October 15, 2024

Education: Ph.D. in Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment
