Job Summary/Basic Functions

Big E Central (BEC) is hiring Peer Counselors. . The BEC Peer Counselor will work collaboratively with the BEC Staff to provide intake assistance and customer services to students as they navigate their financial aid, billing, records, and academic success. Day to day tasks include managing intakes at the BEC front desk. Some additional assistance may be required in our main phone line and email inbox.

Confidentiality, attention to detail, computer skills, dependability, and compliance with applicable laws & policies are crucial to success in this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Written and verbal communications skills

Job Duties:

  • 25% - Assist with telephone operations - (Essential)
  • 65% - Assist with front-desk reception - (Essential)
  • 10% - Other office duties as assigned - (Essential)
