(Please Note: You will not be able to tutor during your class times i.e if there is zoom scheduled during your class time you cannot tutor even though it is a web class)

Posted Salary Grade: $12.00 per hour

Job Summary/Basic Functions

This is a position for current EKU students eager to tutor student-athletes in all areas and levels of STEM, Business, English and more offered at EKU. We are actively seeking tutors for the following areas: college skills, science, technology, math, stats, English, Business (ECO, BUS) and other Essential education areas. Students who have strengths in other areas are still encouraged to apply.

Students employed in this position are responsible for ensuring the ongoing success of the program by serving as a learning resource for our student athletes and representing the Bratzke Center in a professional manner. Our student employees assist in achieving the goals of the Bratzke Center Tutoring Program by: 1) fostering skill development, 2) encouraging critical thinking, 3) promoting independent learners, and 4) enhancing engagement and collaboration with the academic community here at EKU. These positions work one-on-one with student-athletes. We are currently accepting applications for this position for the Fall 2026 semester.
Tutor sessions are by request and matched upon student and tutor availability. Your work hours may vary and are largely depended on your availability.

Pay is $12/hour.

Bratzke Center hours are:
Sunday: 3:00 – 8:00pm
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 9:00pm
Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm
Saturday: Closed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a student at EKU.
    • Undergraduate students
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and
  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours
  • Earned at least an A or B in subject area
  • Must be enrolled full time (min 12 credits)
    • Graduate Students
  • Must be enrolled in a graduate level program.
  • If you are a Graduate Student with a Graduate Assistantship position on campus, you MUST have completed 18 credit hours within your program and have a 3.5 GPA to be considered for additional employment.
  • If you are currently a GA you can work an additional 7.5 hours a week with approval from Grad School.
