Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science is accepting applications for a CFOR Tutor. Appointment is for the Fall 2026 semester, with option to renew as openings are available.

Responsibilities include tutoring students in all offered chemistry courses, maintaining the center by the upkeep of inventory, assisting with computer needs of students, and monitoring printer functions.

Successful candidates must be enrolled full-time at EKU and meet eligibility requirements for Federal Work Study and/or Institutional Work Study. They must have completed General Chemistry Courses (CHE 111 and CHE 112) and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for all courses taken. Candidates pursuing a degree in Chemistry or related STEM program are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of CHE 361 - Organic Chemistry with high GPA.
