Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Colonels Cupboard & Closet Student Worker supports the university's efforts to address food insecurity and promote professional readiness among EKU students. Student workers are assigned to one or more of three program areas for the Colonels Closet, Colonels Cupboard, or Stockroom & Inventory based on program needs and student interest. This position offers hands-on experience in customer service, program operations, nutrition and career education, and inventory management, while directly supporting fellow students in accessing essential resources.

Student workers may rotate between tracks depending on staffing needs, or may be assigned primarily to a single area.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Enrolled as a full-time EKU student in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled as a EKU student in good academic standing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to commit to a regular weekly schedule.
- Comfortable interacting with the broader student population in a confidential, respectful manner.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes or donation items (up to approximately 25 lbs).
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes (e.g., inventory software).
- No prior experience required; training provided.
