Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating curriculum for First-Year Courses. Duties include collaborating with various departments in scheduling in-class and extracurricular learning experiences for students in First-Year Courses. Additional duties include organization of FYC events and activities, assistance with student support and intervention, instructor support and follow up, assisting the Director and Assistant Director, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Minimum Education Details: Master's degree in college student personnel administration, higher education administration, an academic discipline, or related area is required.

Experience: One year of related work experience is required, including experience with the first-year experience or in a college or university setting with a diverse student population.

Job Duties:

  • 35% - Coordinate, schedule, support, and evaluate experiences, events, and activities for First-Year Courses. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Teach GSD 101 and support students enrolled in assigned sections. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Implement curriculum and assess EKU Student Success Seminars, including GSD 101, and College Success Seminars: ASO 100, BUS 100, EDO 100, HSO 100, JSO 100, SCO 100. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Assist with professional development and training and co-advise Alpha Lambda Delta. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Assist with Communication and Outreach functions for First Year Courses in collaboration with Assistant Director and Director. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Other duties as assigned. - (Essential)

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
