Job Summary/Basic Functions

Seeking student to help with Basic Needs Equity Audit including conducting administrator interviews, student focus groups and presentation of results to stakeholders. Position is funded for up to 16 hours a week for the Spring semester. Position will include one day travel with faculty researcher.

Required qualifications:
Student must be currently enrolled at EKU with at least 90 credit hours toward undergraduate degree or in graduate school.


Position will start immediately.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU
• 90 credit hours toward undergraduate degree or in graduate school

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate student or undergraduate senior in social sciences. General understanding of the student basic needs and systemic and institutional inequities in service delivery.

Job Duties:

• 25% - Participating in Zoom interviews and in person student focus groups at universities across Kentucky. Will include one day travel with faculty researcher. - (Essential)
• 25% - Participating in Zoom and in person Stakeholder meetings in Frankfort, KY, with faculty researcher. Will include one day travel with faculty researcher. - (Essential)
• 25% - Supporting faculty researcher in transcription of meetings and focus groups and development of reports. - (Essential)
• 25% - Assisting with dissemination of research results including the possibility of state and national presentations and publications. - (Essential)

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
