Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Fire and Safety Engineering Technology program is now hiring student workers for the Fire Protection Labs at the Ashland Building to aid the faculty and Lab Coordinator in the development, construction, execution and recycling of various fire-based lab activities. Active mentorship will teach you many valuable hands-on skills. This job features indoor and outdoor work, some moderate lifting, and the use of various hand and power tools. This position is for fall and spring semesters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion or enrollment in FSE 101 and FSE 120 preferred, but not required. Open to all majors.

Job Duties:

  • 75% - Fire Investigation Labs - (Essential)
  • 15% - Fire Investigation Residency Support - (Essential)
  • 10% - Maintenance - (Marginal)
