Hours Per Week: 20

Additional Schedule Details: Availability through breaks preferred. 

Posted Salary Grade: Minimum $8.00 per hour

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Housing Representative for the Housing Office will play a crucial role in providing front desk customer service and administrative support to the Housing Office. This position involves interacting with students, staff, and visitors, handling inquiries, and performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Available hours include Wednesdays from 12:00 noon - 3:30 pm

Job Duties:

  • Front Desk Customer Service:

o Serve as the first point of contact for students and visitors. o Answer general questions and provide information about housing services. o Collect and process various forms and documents. 

  • Phone Management:

o Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel. o Address phone inquiries and provide accurate information. 

  • Administrative Support:

o Run errands as needed to support office operations. o Process incoming and outgoing mail, including flyers and packages. o Distribute supplies and maintain inventory. 

  • Package Handling:

o Pick up packages from the mailroom and ensure they are delivered to the correct recipients. 

  • General Assistance:

o Perform various tasks to assist the professional staff with daily operations. o Provide support during housing events and activities as needed.
