Job Summary/Basic Functions

Campus Recreation is accepting applications for Intramural Sports Officials.
This position is responsible for the following:

• Enforce the rules and regulations of the Intramural Sports program as well as Campus Recreation facilities policies

• Accurately and efficiently enforce rules of the sport, ensure a safe environment in adherence to the rules

• Continually practice and develop knowledge of positioning, mechanics, and communication skills necessary to preserve the integrity of the contest they are officiating

• Assist in ensuring the eligibility and accuracy of the participant check in process

• Communicate in a respectful and professional manor to all parties involved with the Intramural Sports program

• Assist in the submission of injury, incident, and ejection reports

• Issue sportsmanship ratings for the teams who participate each contest

• Assist with the setup and cleanup of each Intramural Sports event they are on shift for

• Assist with the recovery of all used equipment to conduct the event

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications: Must be an enrolled student at EKU.

Preferred Qualifications:

KHSAA Officials certification in any sport.
Skills of communication, decisiveness, poise, and conflict resolution.
Students majoring in Recreation, Exercise Science or Sport Management preferred and encouraged to apply.
