Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Learning and Development Facilitator will train and develop events based on assessed needs using in-house resources as well as those available outside the TRC/Training Branch such as universities, experts in their fields, private contractors, etc. The incumbent will provide training to Cabinet for Health and Family Service in the area of TANF, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program/SNAP, Child Care, Medicaid program and/or Health Benefits Exchange. The position will be flexible regarding work location.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field required.Master's preferred.

Experience: At least one year of related work experience in Family Support required. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience and knowledge of SNAP, Medicaid, CCAP or KTAP (depending on what is needed at the time).

Job Duties:

  • 55% - The Facilitator will motivate and train new and tenured DCBS Staff on Family Support Programs (SNAP, Child Care, Medicaid, TANF, and/or Health Benefits Exchange) for policy and procedures. The Facilitator will provide virtual and in person instruction to various size groups from the Department for Community Based Services. The Facilitator will perform case reviews for participants and provide feedback. They will finalize the course by submitting the necessary TRIS documentation timely and Progress Reports accurately.  - ()
  • 30% - The Facilitator is responsible for assisting or leading in development of new training materials, as well as revisions to training materials as a result of changing policies and/or procedures, initiatives, or other DCBS requests. Training Facilitator will remain up to date on quality training methods and policies/procedures. Incorporating those into new and existing training opportunities: asynchronous, synchronous, face to face, micro learning, and other methods identified by the Training Branch or requested by DCBS. - ()
  • 10% - The Facilitator will test and troubleshoot Worker Portal Cases. This will include evaluating release notes, acquiring case scenarios, testing for accuracy, determining needed updates, addressing inconsistencies and reporting system errors. The Facilitator will reviewing FSMs, OMTLs, Release Notes, Policy Clarifications and Policy ensure accuracy. - ()
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned by Supervisor - ()
