Job Summary/Basic Functions

The College of Business at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Professional Golf Management for 2025-2026. Applicants should hold an earned master’s degree in a business-related discipline from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. The position begins May 2025.

The position serves Professional Golf Management majors. It requires a minimum of three years of experience in the golf industry as well as PGA or LPGA Class A membership. The successful candidate will teach academic courses, primarily in PGA Teaching and Coaching, but also in other business courses. Teaching responsibilities also include coordination and leadership of all aspects of PGM student player development programs and implementation of small group clinics and private golf lessons. The successful candidate will also be responsible for student recruitment, including recruitment events, coordinating potential student visits to campus, and actively recruiting future PGM students at regional golf events. Additional responsibilities include advising and mentoring students; overseeing the PGM Club Repair Lab, assisting with the tournament program and other student activities; and assisting with the daily operation of the PGM Program.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: An earned master’s degree in a business-related discipline from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.

Experience: Applicants should have a minimum of three years of experience in the golf industry.

Licensure & Certifications: Applicants should hold PGA or LPGA Class A membership.

Job Duties:

  • 30%% - Successfully instruct and supervise the EKU PGM player development program. - (Essential)
  • 30%% - Actively coordinate and lead EKU PGM student recruitment efforts. - (Essential)
  • 20%% - Demonstrate the ability to teach, develop, and implement courses related to one’s curricular area. Maintain an appropriate teaching load as assigned at the times and in the locations necessary to meet the needs of EKU students. - (Essential)
  • 10%% - Advise students in fulfilling program, departmental, college, and universities requirements. - (Essential)
  • 10%% - Assist the PGM Program Director with the operation and administration of the PGM program. - (Essential)
