Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Berman Center for Professional Sales at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a dynamic, innovative Lecturer to lead our University Sales Team and teach engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in sales and marketing. Applicants should hold a masters degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales from an AACSB International accredited institution. Applicants must have their masters degree awarded (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. The position begins August 2026.

This role combines teaching in a workload consistent with the needs and priorities of the institution, coaching, AI-driven strategies, and real-world sales experience to prepare students for success in regional, national, and global competitions. Travel is required to support competitions, events, and professional development initiatives. The candidate will work in close coordination with Executive Director of the Center. Service to the department, college, and university is also required.

The University places a high priority on being leaders in the responsible use of artificial intelligence and in building such capacity in our students. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of artificial intelligence pertinent to the discipline and/or a willingness to pursue professional development to acquire such expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: An earned master’s degree in a business, marketing, or sales related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution at the time of appointment.

Evidence of excellence or promise of excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate sales courses.
Demonstrated ability or interest in coaching individual students and teams for sales competitions.
Proficiency with AI tools for professional sales, teaching, and content creation.
Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).
Willingness and ability to travel for competitions, events, and professional development opportunities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate students.
Commitment to creating an innovative learning environment.
Track record of integrating experiential learning, technology, and real-world sales applications into the curriculum.

Job Duties:

  • 10% - Lead, mentor, and coach the University Sales Team to compete at the highest levels in sales competitions. - (Essential)
  • 40% - Teach required, elective, and special topics courses in sales and marketing, including Professional Selling, Advanced Sales, Sales Management, and Business Development. - (Essential)

  • 10% - Collaborate with students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners to create meaningful, real-world learning experiences. - (Essential)
