Job Summary/Basic Functions
Position will plan, organize, and implement world-class orchestra/music educational programs in a P-12 laboratory school environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and musical skill and talent, and helps the school and University meet established goals. To ensure that each student will grow to his/her greatest intellectual ability, emotional development and psychological well-being. Additionally, the teacher will mentor and instruct university students working and observing at Model for experiential learning assignments. The successful candidate will be willing to support extracurricular opportunities for Model school students and other related functions as required. Faculty must also meet physical requirements such as standing, walking and lifting at least 40 pounds.

Licensure & Certifications: Kentucky certification for teaching orchestra to students in grades P-12
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced musician with successful experience as an orchestra teacher
