Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Peer Career Mentor will assist EKU students in developing effective job search skills through a variety of peer advising roles and support Advising & Career Services in student outreach and marketing. Responsibilities will include conducting mock interviews, resume critiques, student intake, media outreach, presentations, outreach efforts including Saturday EKU Spotlight Day, and assisting with office and career events.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Strong interest in job search activities; specifically working with college peers discussing career goals, career planning, training and development, and networking with employers
2. Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
3. Self-starter/high energy level and well organized

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
