Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Noel Studio for Academic Creativity at Eastern Kentucky University seeks to hire students from any major as a Social Media Assistant. Working as a member of a team, Social Media Assistants will develop and manage engaging content that helps tell the story of academic programs, faculty and student success, initiatives, and programming that spans academic areas. Social Media Assistants will plan marketing and communication campaigns, develop information regarding events, curate content, and develop graphics (including visual design and photography) for multiple academic areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be full-time students at EKU, have a 3.0 minimum GPA, and be in good academic standing with the University.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful candidates should possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills, experience managing a social media presence on multiple platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Candidates should also have an interest in photography and graphic design.
Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
