Job Summary/Basic Functions

The position requires the reviewing and reconciliation of financial aid verification files. The employee should be adaptable and able to manage new technologies to ensure student files are worked and completed in an accurate manner. Also required in this position are processing financial aid student files and effectively communicating key financial aid information to internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent ensures will also serve as a secondary liaison for financial aid to the Big E Central area. This position will require the management of financial aid programs through implementation of daily operations to include but not limited to financial aid awards, missing/incomplete information, academic progress, appeals, reconciliation, and additional duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Two or more years experience in managing a robust workload in a higher education setting.

Job Duties:

  • 75% - Perform daily/weekly task associated with the Financial Aid Verification process to include: Reviewing of student verification data points, Completing the reconciliation of verification data points in Banner, Interpreting federal rules and regulations, communicating with faculty, staff and students on the verification process. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Professional Development. - (Essential)
