Job Summary/Basic Functions

As a summer event intern at a The University Club at Arlington, you will likely be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of various events and activities hosted by the club during the summer season. Your duties may include:

Assisting in event planning: You may work closely with event planners to develop and execute ideas for various events, such as golf tournaments, pool parties, outdoor concerts, and other social events.

Coordinating logistics: You may be responsible for coordinating various logistical details of events, such as arranging for equipment rentals, coordinating transportation for guests, and ensuring that event spaces are properly prepared.

Managing guest relations: You may interact directly with club members and their guests, ensuring that they are satisfied with their experience and resolving any issues that may arise.

Marketing and promotions: You may be involved in developing marketing materials and promoting events to the club's members.

Administrative tasks: You may be responsible for various administrative tasks, such as maintaining event schedules and tracking attendance.

Overall, the role of a summer event intern can be a dynamic and exciting one, with opportunities to gain valuable experience in event planning and management. You will likely work closely with experienced event planners and managers, and may have the opportunity to develop skills in customer service, and project management.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred concentration on event management, business management, or hospitality.
