Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Women and Gender Studies program at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach courses in Women and Gender Studies.

The WGS Part-Time Instructor will lead or facilitate instruction for courses that may include, but are not limited to, WGS 201: Introduction to Women and Gender Studies. Instruction may be online or in-person, depending on program needs. Applicants should specify in their cover letter if they are only available to teach in one format. Applicants should have at least 18 hours in a related graduate degree. Candidate must have a Master's degree and a Ph.D. is preferred.

Part-time faculty may teach up to nine credit hours, depending on program needs.

Applicants will be screened and contacted as program needs for part-time faculty arise. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.

Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application. Official transcripts are required at the time of the position offer and as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Candidate must have a Master's Degree in a related field with course work relevant to Women and Gender Studies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. in related field with relevant graduate coursework is preferred.
