Schedule Type:  Full Time (40 hrs per week or more)

Additional Schedule Details: Note: This position requires overtime, emergency response and flexibility in shifts worked. Incumbents must be able to meet these job requirements.

Job Summary/Basic Functions

Incumbent works directly with the Heat Plant Supervisor and boiler operators to ensure flawless operation of the plant and timely fuel deliveries and to perform maintenance as needed on the steam delivery system.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required

Experience: One year of previous and directly related experience is required.

Equivalency:
Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.



Required Knowledge:

Working knowledge of associated safety procedures and confined space safety and lock-out/tag-out.

Job Duties:

  • 85% - Assists in performing routine boiler and steam plant maintenance. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Supports the efficient operations of the department. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned - (Essential)
