Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Housing Representative for the Housing Office will play a crucial role in providing front desk customer service and administrative support to the Housing Office. This position involves interacting with students, staff, and visitors, handling inquiries, and performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must be enrolled at EKU.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled as a student..
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with basic office equipment (e.g., phone systems, computers).
• Previous customer service experience is a plus.

Job Duties:

  • 50% - • Front Desk Customer Service: o Serve as the first point of contact for students and visitors. o Answer general questions and provide information about housing services. o Collect and process various forms and documents. - (Essential)
  • 15% - • Phone Management: o Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel. o Address phone inquiries and provide accurate information - (Essential)
  • 15% - • Administrative Support: o Run errands as needed to support office operations. o Process incoming and outgoing mail, including flyers and packages. o Distribute supplies and maintain inventory. - (Essential)
  • 10% - • Package Handling: o Pick up packages from the mailroom and ensure they are delivered to the correct recipients. - (Essential)
  • 10% - • General Assistance: o Perform various tasks to assist the professional staff with daily operations. o Provide support during housing events and activities as needed. - (Essential)
