Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Eastern Kentucky University Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach undergraduate courses, including our Cyber Systems Technology programs in a lecture with laboratory format related to Information Technology infrastructure, computer network hardware or software, cloud technology foundations, client/server systems. The successful candidate(s) will teach classes at the Richmond, KY campus.

A minimum of a Master's Degree is required in Technology, Technology Management, Cyber Systems, Computer Electronics, Engineering, Computer/Management Information Systems, or a related field, with at least 18 graduate credit hours earned in the discipline. Degree(s) must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited and recognized institution.

The ideal candidate(s) bring their IT industry experience managing computer network infrastructure into our lab-based classroom and are eager to share their enthusiasm for IT by engaging students in hands-on laboratory activities and projects. IT certifications related to computer networking, cloud technologies, cyber security, wireless, virtualization, client-server technologies, network management, Linux and open-source systems, computer electronics from CompTIA or other organizations are desirable. The selected candidates are expected to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with undergraduate students and the university community.

Part-time faculty may teach up to nine credit hours, depending on departmental needs.

Minimum Qualifications
