Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Social Work at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach online courses in the MSW program.

Courses may include, but are not limited to: Social Work Policy; Social Work Generalist Practice; Human Behavior in the Social Environment; Social Work Practicum; Interprofessional Practice.

To be considered to teach graduate-level courses, applicants should hold an earned doctorate in Social Work or a closely related field. Applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education-accredited program. Applicants should also have at least five years post-MSW practice experience.

Part-time faculty may teach up to nine credit hours, depending on departmental needs.

Applicants will be screened and contacted as departmental needs for part-time faculty arise. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.

Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the time of application. Official transcripts are required at the time of the position offer and as a condition of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work from CSWE-accrediated university.

Experience: Five years post-MSW practice experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Earned Doctorate in Social Work or closely related field.
• Experience teaching online Social Work courses.
