Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Agriculture at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning in the Academic Year 2025-2026. Applicants should hold an earned Ph.D. in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Science or related field with an emphasis in Agriculture Business from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered but must have a Ph.D. (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. 

The position serves the Agriculture and Animal Sciences programs. It requires experience in Marketing, Business Operations, and Finance. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in a 4/4 annual teaching load, develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda, conduct academic advising, and participate in service to the department, university, and community. In addition, membership and participation in state, regional, national, or international professional organizations is recommended.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Earned Ph.D. in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Science or related field with an emphasis in Agriculture Business from an accredited institution at time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered but must have a Ph.D. (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment.
