Job Summary/Basic Functions

Model Lab School Substitute Teacher - Substitute teacher will design and implement innovative and research-based instruction for P-12 students, in accordance with regular teacher planned program and directives, and may provide preservicing for P-12 teachers. Substitute teacher will meet requirements of Model Laboratory School teacher job description including physical abilities and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Experience:

Licensure & Certifications: Must have a high school diploma and be eligible for an emergency substitute teaching certificate, or possess a teaching certificate, from the Kentucky Department of Education Professional Standards Board.

Preferred Qualifications:

Kentucky teacher certification and successful teaching experience

Job Duties:

  • 90% - Provide instruction in accordance with State and Federal law, Eastern Kentucky University regulations and Model policies and practices. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supervision of students and preservicing for K-12 teachers - (Essential)
  • 5% - Additional duties (lunchroom, testing oversight, student pick-up, etc.) as assigned - (Essential)
