Additional Schedule Details: Shifts will vary on candidate’s availability during official office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Posted Salary Grade: Minimum $12/hour

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The EKU College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is accepting applications for a Student Laboratory Assistant in the Chemical Storage Facility for the Spring 2026 semester, with option to renew, depending on shift availability and funding. Position pays starting rate of $10/hour +. Must a full-time EKU student and be eligible for student employment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: tracking and documentation of chemicals checked out to faculty, preparation of some solutions for laboratories, log-in of chemical waste generated by science labs, and assist with laboratory inspections.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must be enrolled at EKU and have completed at least two semesters of first year college chemistry with at least a grade of “C” or better.

Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
