Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Chemistry is accepting applications for Student Worker/Lab Prep Assistant position. Position appointment is for the Summer 2024 semester. Primary responsibilities will be but are not limited to the following:
Assist in chemical preparation (laboratory setting)
General lab functions (making labels, cleaning glassware, etc.)

The Student Work Study position is for 20 hours per week at $11.00 per hour for the summer semester. Successful candidates must be enrolled full time at EKU and qualify for Federal or Institutional Work Study. Forensic Science and/or Chemistry majors are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

• Successful candidates must be enrolled full time at EKU and qualify for Federal or Institutional Work Study.
  Completion of CHE 111/112 and labs with a grade of "B " or higher.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer students major to be in one of the following programs:
Chemistry or Forensic Science

Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
