Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Interpreter Coordinator is primarily responsible for direct interpreting services and coordinating interpreting requests for direct interpreting services for Deaf persons on campus. The Coordinator's responsibilities include fiscal management of the program, scheduling of interpreting, and ensuring students have access to note-taking and tutoring services, providing documentation of services provided, consultation with and training of faculty and staff, evaluation of program needs, development of office policies and procedures, and direct supervision of the full-time and part-time interpreting staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in ASL, Kentucky State licensure, and Certification CSC, CI, and/or CT, and/or NIC is required.

Experience: Five years of experience is required. At least 3 of these years should be in a higher education setting.

Licensure & Certifications: •Bachelor's Degree in ASL
•RID Certification CSC, CI, and/or CT, and/or NIC is required
• KY State License
• A valid state driver's license is required
