Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Eastern Kentucky University Aviation Program is accepting applications for a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Assistant.
The position supports the EKU Aviation Maintenance team that is responsible for maintaining the fleet of aircraft. As a member of the EKU Aviation team, this individual contributor, under supervision, works closely with other staff members and aircraft maintenance contractor representatives to ensure efficient operation of the maintenance program and to ensure and improve the integrity of EKU Aviation Maintenance Program.
Duties and responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to: managing aircraft engine time, prop data, airframe time, and electronic equipment databases; coordination of equipment pool, aircraft discrepancy trend analysis, aircraft inspections; audits maintenance invoicing; and assists with overall operations of the Aviation Maintenance program.
Successful candidates must have Aviation A&P license and/or FAA pilot certificate (Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII, or MEI) and prior aviation maintenance experience preferred. High school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience is required. Administrative or record keeping experience with proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is preferred.
