Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Assistant Softball Coach will assist the softball coaching staff in all areas of player development and will assist in the coordination and execution of recruiting activities. This position will assist with student-athlete development, as well as working with multiple athletic department units including academics, compliance, marketing/communications, and the ticket office. The Head Softball Coach will assign other duties and special projects, as necessary. This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required

Experience: One year of previous related experience is required.



Three years is preferred.

Job Duties:

  • 15% - Other duties as assigned by the head softball coach - ()
  • 20% - Manages all softball recruiting activities and ensures compliance with NCAA regulations. Plan, coordinate and manage all official and unofficial recruiting events for softball prospective student-athletes. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Prepares and executes on campus recruiting visits. Serves as liaison to Athletic and University personnel including compliance, academics, facility operations, housing and admissions. - (Essential)
  • 40% - Recruiting and player development. - (Essential)
