Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Facilities Assistant position, who will report to the Assistant Director of Facility Operations, will be responsible for contributing to the ongoing success of the Student Recreation Center, focusing on facility operations, reservation logistics, and staff coordination. In addition to the responsibilities provided, this position will serve as a liaison between patrons and staff to the Professional Staff.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a collegiate recreation facility, specifically in a leadership capacity
  • Familiarity with university and recreation software, including Fusion, 25 Live, and WhenToWork
  • American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certified
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail skills

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate training and scheduling for Facilities, including upwards to 50 student staff members - (Essential)
  • Submit internal and external reservation information on Fusion and 25 Live - (Essential)
  • Maintain equipment inventory database, monitoring quantity, expected lifespan, maintenance history, and usage - (Essential)
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of Colonels Camp, focusing on registration, staff recruitment, and weekly themes - (Essential)
  • Collaborate with Professional Staff to develop an equipment replacement plan - (Essential)
  • Manage the reservation and logistics process for internal Birthday Bashes and facility reservations - (Essential)
