Job Summary/Basic Functions

The GA in the Center for Outdoor Recreation and Leadership will assist with duties and responsibilities in the following areas:
• Develop and implement program curriculum and educational materials focused on outdoor recreation, park management and leadership development.
• Providing applied learning experiences for students in outdoor leadership, risk management, recreation programming, and environmental education.
• Supporting faculty and student research on outdoor recreation trends, conservation strategies, and nature-based tourism.
• Offering certifications and training to prepare students for careers in the outdoor industry, including climbing instruction, backcountry guiding, and Leave No Trace ethics.
• Strengthening partnerships with outdoor agencies, land management organizations, and recreation businesses to create job and internship opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must be enrolled in a graduate program at EKU. 

Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
