Job Summary/Basic Functions

The EKU Honors Program Graduate Assistant position is a standard 20 hour/week GA position, with possibility of renewal for up to a maximum of four semesters. This position reports to the assistant director of the honors program. This position is available beginning Fall 2025.

Responsibilities include assisting in the coordination and scheduling of honors thesis presentation program, public relations, social media, website management, event planning and execution, and performing other duties as assigned by the assistant director and
EKU Honors Program staff. The graduate assistant is also expected to serve as a mentor and role model for current EKU Honors students and positively represent the program to the EKU community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Enrolled in graduate school at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with and knowledge of EKU Honors Program
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and content strategies
