Job Summary/Basic Functions

Job Purpose: Develop and maintain engaging and effective marketing content in support of University strategic plans and enrollment goals. The incumbent will work closely with other members of the web and marketing teams, various University units, and leadership to create, implement, and oversee content creation. The incumbent will ensure initiatives follow SEO best practices, digital accessibility requirements, brand guidelines, and effectively reach relevant audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, English, or other related field is required.

Experience:
• Two years related work experience is required
• Experience in marketing and business development in higher education is preferred

Job Duties:

  • 50% - Collaborate with web and marketing teams, internal clients, and leadership to write, edit, optimize, and publish content for maximum engagement. Assess and improve content, including search engine optimization (SEO). Monitor and update on regular basis with fresh text, imagery, and video. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Research and stay up-to-date on the best practices and latest developments of SEO, digital accessibility guidelines, consumer behavior, and content trends. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Ensure accuracy and consistency across all content, webpages, and websites within University style and brand guidelines, making updates as needed and requested. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Monitor and maintain the website on a daily basis to ensure optimal performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Problem solve web-related issues. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
