Job Summary/Basic Functions

An Eastern Kentucky University Information Technology Consultant utilizes in depth knowledge of computer hardware and software to provide excellent user service.

The incumbent regularly deals with a range of more complex inquiries and requests for service/information from beyond the department and from various constituents. The incumbent routinely initiates or requests information or service with all campus constituents.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Two years of related experience is required.

Job Duties:

• 40% - Provide in-person, phone and remote technical support to the EKU Community for all University software and hardware products. - (Essential)
• 25% - Serve as Team Lead for IT Service Desk project teams and mentor IT Consultants - (Essential)
• 25% - Provide Tier 2 systems support. - (Essential)
• 10% - Other duties as assigned to insure the efficient operations of the department. - (Essential)
