Job Summary/Basic Functions

An Eastern Kentucky University Information Technology Consultant utilizes in depth knowledge of computer hardware and software to provide excellent customer service in the daily operation of the IT Service Desk as it tests, evaluates and maintains IT equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required

Experience: Two or more year's technology support. Preferred in a university setting.

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Participates with AV Support Team to provide excellent customer service to the University Community in resolving Audio Visual, Classroom Technology, and other campus IT issues in a campus environment of 450+ technology spaces. - ()
  • 25% - Participates with AV Support team in the installation, programing, and support of Extron room Audio-Visual Control Systems and Global Software Monitoring Server and Database; updates Academic Technology's Asset Management Software, Digital Signage Network - ()
  • 20% - Participates in AV Technology Quality Assurance Program - Test, evaluate, and maintain Audio-Visual solutions and AV equipped spaces throughout campus. - ()
  • 10% - Respond to Faculty Requests for Training, Consultation, and/or Event Facilitation - ()
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned to insure the efficient operations of the department. - ()
