Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Agriculture at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Agribusiness. Applicants should either hold a minimum of an earned M.S. in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Science or related field, with an emphasis (18 graduate credit hours) in Agriculture Business; or a Master’s degree in Business or Economics with a B.S. in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Science or related field with an emphasis in Agriculture Business. Degrees must come from an accredited institution, verified by transcripts, at the time of appointment. The position begins August 2025.

The position serves the Agriculture and Animal Sciences programs. It requires experience in Marketing, Business Operations, and Finance. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in a 4/4 teaching load and participate in service to the department, university, and community. The position is a nine-month appointment. In addition, membership and participation in state, regional, national, or international professional organizations is recommended.
