Job Summary/Basic Functions

Qualified candidates will have a high level of expertise in piano performance and accompanying vocal and instrumental students. The position requires candidate availability to be on campus to play for degree-required courses and recitals. Preference is given to candidates who are able to fulfill accompanying duties during normal work hours. In many cases, work on evenings and weekends may be required. Rehearsal/Performance times will be determined by individual EKU faculty based on course and degree recital requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Music

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a collaborative pianist with both vocalists & instrumentalists
  • Flexible work schedule & ability to work during the class times
  • Some evenings & weekend performances
  • Time management, may be working with multiple classes
  • Communication, may need to communicate with multiple faculty to avoid scheduling conflicts
